FOUNDED IN
1981
In 1981, Neil Armstrong founded Harvest Moon and today serves as Executive Director. In its inception, Harvest Moon was a fresh potato trader to interstate markets, while supplying local greengrocers in Tasmania.
THE BUSINESS
TODAY
Since then, the business has grown significantly, supplying over 90,000 tonnes of vegetables and employing up to 300 people. Mark Kable, the co-owner of Harvest Moon now serves as Managing Director and CEO.
HOW WE’VE
GROWN
Harvest Moon grows roughly 70,000 tons of carrots, onions, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, beans, swede, and beetroot annually in and around the township of Forth in northern Tasmania and just outside Narrandera in New South Wales. We operate two other sites on mainland Australia, in Werribee South (Victoria) and Gatton (Queensland). Here we have developed long term relationships with over 80 of the best local growers, all of whom grow and deliver high quality vegetables that perfectly complement our own-grown fresh produce. The mainland growing, production and logistics capabilities give Harvest Moon nationwide exposure through markets and retail networks.
WHY CHOOSE
US?
Over many years, the team at Harvest Moon has developed an extensive knowledge of growing, harvesting, grading, washing, cooling, and packing produce. We heavily invest each year into expanding our vegetable growing and packing capacity.
